Both Brains GM Jenni Powell wins the Women in ICT Community Impact Award 2026

We are proud to share that our General Manager, Jenni Powell, has won the Community Impact Award at the 2026 Women in ICT Awards, hosted by Reseller News. It is the first time this award has been presented, and it celebrates the people building inclusion, wellbeing and connection across the technology sector.

Built in Queenstown, felt across New Zealand

Jenni's work is grounded in Queenstown. Through founding Queenstown Women in Tech , she has built a community that now connects over 250 women. As a TechStep Ambassador and a Techweek coordinator for the Southern Lakes, she brings equity focused programmes to the region and keeps the conversations on representation, wellbeing and leadership front and centre.

‘Lifting people up’ is what defines Jenni's work. Through founding Queenstown Women in Tech, she connects over 250 women, while her roles as a TechStep Ambassador and Tech Week coordinator bring equity-focused programmes and foster conversations on representation, wellbeing, and leadership.” Women in ICT Awards 2026 judges

From our base in Queenstown, giving back is part of how we work at Both Brains. It shapes how we lead, how we partner with our clients, and how we show up for the wider tech community.

“This belongs to our whole Queenstown community. Community does not just happen, it is built by people choosing to turn up for each other, and I am grateful to everyone who does.” Jenni Powell, General Manager, Both Brains

Congratulations to Jenni, and to everyone recognised at the 2026 Women in ICT Awards. We are proud to celebrate the difference being made for women in tech in Queenstown and right across New Zealand.
